100 Years Ago: Private Harvey Smith Wounded

“Mrs. Harvey Smith, residing at 36 ½ Church street, in this city, yesterday received a telegram from the Record Office, Ottawa, conveying the intelligence that her husband, Pte. Harvey Smith, was wounded on February 24^th.

Pte. Smith enlisted and went overseas with the 155^th Battalion, but was transferred to the 4^th Mounted Rifles. The many friends of the unfortunate soldier will hope that his injuries are not of a serious nature.”
